An All-American 4th of July

Celebrate the Year of Alabama Small Towns & Downtowns with an All-American 4th of July event that will include cemetery ghost tours, veteran’s recognition at the courthouse, parade and ribbon cutting for the newly renovated downtown, boat parade, community church service/dinner on the Grounds at Civitan Park, and performances by area church choirs and local chorales followed by fireworks over beautiful Lake Guntersville. Other activities include an antique car and farm show, quilt and photography exhibitions, library events and a cook-off.
100th Anniversary of the City of Lincoln

Pickensville Fireworks and Heritage Celebration

Dedication and unveiling of the Pickensville historic marker will take place at Town Hall on Friday Celebration will take place on Saturday at the Tom Bevill Lock and Dam Visitors Center, with festivities beginning at 5 p.m. and ending at 9 p.m. with the grand fireworks finale.
Spirit of America Festival

Area’s largest free patriotic festival featuring awards, Miss Point Mallard Pageant, children’s activities, musical entertainment and a large fireworks display.
Freedom on the River

Children’s parade, food vendors and fireworks all on the banks of the Tombigbee River.
Independence Day – July 4th Celebration
Montevallo; Jul 4
Patriotic daylong celebration honoring veterans and celebrating American independence in the style of 1776 with music, dancing, dramatic historical interpretation, food, and fun activities for children. The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show.
World Championship Domino Tournament, 36th Annual
Andalusia; Jul 9–10
More than 300 people will participate in this tournament featuring fun, fellowship and competition for all ages. More than $20,000 in cash and trophies awarded.
Atmore Rotary Fiddler’s Convention, 30th Annual
Atmore; Jul 17
Musicians of all ages and walks of life compete in guitar, banjo, mandolin, vocal band, string band and the fiddle. Evening includes barbecue prepared by the Atmore Rotary Club.
W.C. Handy Music Festival
Florence; Jul 23–31
Weeklong celebration will honor the musical heritage of Northwest Alabama and the legacy of the “Father of the Blues” with a parade, concerts, exhibits, theater, athletic events, music in various venues, and more.
