The Alabama Governor’s Conference on Tourism is Aug. 14-17 in Montgomery. Gubernatorial candidates Dr. Robert Bentley and Commissioner Ron Sparks are the featured lunch speakers on Tuesday, Aug. 17. Other conference speakers include Dr. David Bronner, CEO, Retirement Systems of Alabama; Roger Dow, President and CEO of the U.S. Travel Association; Roger Brooks, CEO Destination Development International. There will be educational sessions on how to bring travelers to your attraction/event, managing social media, branding your entity, workshops with the state tourism department; and an update on the Alabama gulf coast.
