Childress says talks with Kevin Harvick continue
Car owner Richard Childress says talks with Kevin Harvick continue about Harvick remaining with the team. Harvick’s contract expires after this season.
“Kevin and I are working hard to stay together and our plan right now is to be together,” Childress said. “Anything can change, but right now we’re planning on racing together. We’ve been talking. We haven’t signed anything yet. We’re definitely talking in the right direction.”
Michael Waltrip will be back in a Cup car this week at Talladega. He also plans to compete at Infineon Raceway in June. He’ll drive the No. 55 car for PRISM Motorsports…. T his weekend, Joe Gibbs was inducted into the Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame. The ceremony was held at Texas Motor Speedway’s Speedway Club, which features a Texas-themed mural that included an image of a Dallas Cowboy catching a pass over a Washington Redskin. “At first, I thought this was going to be a joke or something,” the former Redskins coach said when informed of his induction. “But I’m thrilled to be here.”
