IndyCar driver list continues to grow
The Izod IndyCar Series participation list continues to grow for the upcoming season, and it figures to continue as the day progresses ahead of the first test of the season, with on-track action beginning Wednesday at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama.
As reported earlier on Tuesday, Conquest Racing will field former Firestone Indy Lights driver Mario Romancini, a 22-year-old from Brazil, in the No. 34 car. Bryan Herta Autosport will have another Indy Lights driver, Sebastian Saavedra, in the development series for the full season, but it will enter an IndyCar in the Indianapolis 500. Saavedra hails from Colombia.
Also expected to be confirmed is James Rossiter, who has been rumored for a seat at KV Racing Technology. Mario Moraes also said he’s due to sign a deal, although that team has not been confirmed.
