Mann Tests at Barber Motorsports Park

This week Pippa Mann continued her preparations for the upcoming Firestone Indy Lights season, when she and the Sam Schmidt Motorsports Team arrived at the Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama for a one day road course test.

14 cars and drivers participated in Friday’s test, with just one month to go before the season opener at St Petersburg. Mann was tenth quickest in the morning session, ninth fastest in the afternoon, placing her ninth overall.

Speaking about the test, Mann said: “Although there is still some way to go to close the gap to the fastest cars, I’m pleased that I was able to improve significantly on my new tyre runs. Checking the data confirms that I have made good progress since my last outing here, and it is encouraging that, even with a mistake on my fastest lap, we are still running in the top ten.”

Mann will be back in action early next week as the team heads to Sebring for their next pre-season test.
